The nurses, who work in municipal and private home services in the municipality of Södertälje, have received specialized training in the use of protective equipment.
- They become experts in using protective equipment correctly and in this way we also minimize the contacts of the infected users, there will be fewer people visiting their home. With that, we hope that we can reduce the spread of infection, says Pia Andréasson.
Doesn't everyone in the home service manage to handle protective equipment?
- Yes, most people can do that, but since you need a certain amount of training to deal with protective equipment in the case of established infection, we think it will be more efficient with fewer people who we can quickly train and get that expert knowledge at once.
