93 gaming companies around the world had a training match with Byttorps IF and Södra Vings IF on Tuesday night, something that the Gothenburg Post has already rewritten. This led to a turnover never seen before at this level - even though some companies removed the match during the evening.

- My estimate lands on the game having a turnover of around 37 million, says Dan Korhonen, head of sports betting and game safety at Svenska Spel.

But it is a qualified and actually cautious guess. None of the sales figures are public.

- The only thing that is public is Betfair's turnover on the stock exchange. It is actual and accurate and is at SEK 545,000. But if each individual company averaged only SEK 400,000 on this match, we land at just over 37 million!

Should not be playable

Nothing like that has ever happened at a training match.

- No, it really wasn't playable at all. But in this situation, when the corona center has put a stop to almost all matches, unfortunately the gaming industry vacuum everything there is, says Dan Korhonen.

The longer the corona crisis extends over time, the more games of this kind can be. This is something that Svenska Spel regrets.

- You should not offer games on these matches. It is far from a professional level. Sure, these players are good athletes, but they can end up in an extreme risk position when there are criminal elements that may be interested in making big money quickly and easily, says Dan Korhonen and continues:

- Buying a player or leader in these divisions is not nearly as expensive as buying someone who actually has an income from their sport.

Risk of match fixing

He does not know if this particular match has attracted criminals, but says that a match in Södertälje was recently canceled.

- The coach heard the talk on the plane, that the match would be fixed. He is a former police officer and then decided to cancel, which was just right.

The Swedish Football Association does not consider offering games on matches under division two on the men's side. This was division five ...

- Yes, unfortunately there are no restrictions in the legislation here. We hope for regulations that can change this in the future, ”says Dan Korhonen.

How did it go in the match? Well, Byttorp won, as expected. The odds were 1-50 ...
