An Australian tourist infected with the new Corona virus thanked the health sector in the country for caring for her and treating the virus, although she landed Dubai Airport (transit) en route from Britain to her country.

Wendy Hawking, 55, said in a message to the UAE that she "did not expect the health care system in the Emirates to be at such a distinguished level," noting that she had recovered from the virus thanks to the early and complete medical treatment of her infection.

In her message, she added that she left London Heathrow without being examined, and arrived at Dubai Airport (transit), and after examining it, it was found that her temperature was high, so she was transferred to a hospital near the airport, so that the Corona virus analysis would take place and be obliged with the stone.

And she continued: "The results appeared positive, so I was immediately admitted to the hospital's isolation department, and my treatment started immediately. I was shocked by the results, as we had no idea that infection in Britain was high."

She explained: "I spent 11 days in Prime Hospital in Dubai, and I did not experience shortness of breath, because the virus did not reach the lower respiratory system or lungs due to rapid medical intervention."

She noted that health care that was received around the clock and the positive spirit of doctors and nursing staff contributed to its rapid recovery from the virus.

She said, "After recovering, I had three tests, all of which were negative, so I was discharged from the hospital and went to a quarantine in a hotel room."

She noted that she is still in strict quarantine and does not meet anyone, and communicates with her family in Melbourne by phone.
