In total, six people have now died as a result of the corona virus in Västra Götaland. The health service does not want to tell any details about the recently deceased persons.
"We don't tell you anything about any cases," says Leif Dotevall, assistant infection prevention physician in the Västra Götaland region.
The day to Tuesday increased the number of confirmed cases by only seven, which is a smaller increase than it has been in recent days. Despite this, Leif Dotevall believes he sees a tendency for an increase in the number of cases.
- We have had about the same number in recent days, but we receive more reports of infected cases from people who call 1177 with respiratory problems, as well as from elderly homes and health centers, he says.
When will the top in our region come?
- It is impossible to answer. We expect an increase and prepare for it, but we can't say how big the peak will be or how long it will be. What has happened in Stockholm may happen here, but we hope that the development will be more extended so that the intensive care units are sufficient.
