The Government shakes off criticism from some parties such as the PP and the PNV, which reject the decree of hibernation of the economy to further limit mobility, and attributes the lack of coordination, the fact that the parties were not informed or that The decision was made to the autonomous communities and to the employers as something already done, that the measure was taken "in 24 hours".

Despite the reproaches received, the Executive of Pedro Sánchez hopes to obtain the support of the PP because it is in line with the request of some of his barons , supporters of harsher measures.

This is the public explanation offered this Tuesday by the government spokesman and finance minister, María Jesús Montero, who assured that the Executive "is acting immediately" when the health authorities set a course.

According to government sources, the Prime Minister made the decision to stop non-essential business activity last Saturday, after the group of scientists advising him recommended it after finding a drop in infections for the third weekend due to a greater decline of circulation through the productive break.

"The times are dizzying, we need to legislate at great speed," said Montero. That same Saturday, March 28, as reported by the spokesperson, she personally informed the autonomous presidents that the Council of Ministers would approve it in an extraordinary meeting the next day. For this reason, Montero has defended that they are trying to make everyone "complicit", although he has acknowledged that he must "continue to strengthen coordination".

It is a "reasonable decree", says the Executive

The Minister of Finance has assured that this is a "reasonable decree", which does not paralyze productive activity, but rather places it in a kind of hibernation, in which each company decides how to maintain its vital signs, prolonging the weeks by Easter holidays, with a recoverable leave paid to workers.

Montero does not contemplate that the PP does not endorse it in Congress. It includes "necessary" measures, he pointed out, because experts have opted to restrict mobility in figures on weekends. "It would not be understood that the PP, which has asked for weeks for a tightening of confinement and even paralysis of industrial activity, did not support at this time," he stressed.

"It would be a contradiction. Each one will have to act accordingly," added the finance minister and government spokesman.

In this way the Executive does not consider that the PP can deny its support or that the endorsement of the Lower House is in doubt. "We hope to have the approval of the groups," said the minister spokesman.

Without giving the PP more relevance than other formations, despite being the main opposition party, Montero has assured that they will contact all the parliamentary groups to obtain their support and add some contributions.

Hotels for victims of sexist violence

The Government has approved a decree, within the framework of the measures that it is ruling within the state of alarm, in which it now lists essential services as care and reception for victims of gender violence, sexual exploitation and trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

These measures, which have been promoted by the Ministry of Equality, assume that the care services, legal advice and comprehensive care, such as 016 or the Alertcops application, when declared essential, will provide 100% of their service.

Thus, organizations, associations and services for victims of male violence must remain open and available. In the framework of this decision, the Executive has ordered to make tourist accommodation (hotels) available to these victims when they are at risk.

In other words, hotels will be allowed to be used as safe accommodation for victims of sexist violence in the event that there are no places available during the state of alarm in the centers designated for it.

On March 25, the Government declared 370 tourist accommodations across the country as an essential service to serve workers in specific sectors.
