In February, the Presnensky court of Moscow limited the rights of the girl’s parents and decided to transfer the child to guardianship authorities.

In March, the girl’s mother Tatyana Maksimova filed an appeal against the court’s decision to restrict her parental rights.

“The Moscow city court rejected the defendant's appeal against the decision of the Presnensky court, which Zinkin and Maksimova were limited in parental rights with respect to their daughter,” RIA Novosti quoted the court as press secretary Ulyana Solopova.

In January 2019, the staff of the PMC "Mother and Child" reported that for five years a girl had been living in a medical facility that her parents refused to take home because they allegedly fear for her health, although, according to experts, the child is absolutely healthy.
