Now it is clear how the leadership team in HV71's men's team will look like this coming season. Nicklas Rahm becomes new head coach and new assistant coach becomes Stefan Nyman.

Nicklas Rahm, who previously played in HV71, was born and raised in Jönköping and becomes the first head coach to have the association as a parent club.

HV71 as a parent club

He has 232 matches in HV71 and was a member of the gold team in 1995. His coaching career started in Växjö Lakers and then he came to Jönköping season 2016/2017 as assistant coach. So now he becomes head coach of the club next season.

- A great honor and an exciting challenge. I have grown up with HV71 and to gain the confidence to become head coach of course feels great. I am driven by passion and commitment in my leadership and that is something I will continue with as a head coach too, ”says Nicklas Rahm in a press release.

Stefan Nyman who will be the new assistant coach comes from Lugano. He also has several seasons behind him as coach in Djurgården, Malmö and Södertälje.

In HV71, he will primarily focus on the defensive game and the slopes.

In addition to Nicklas Rahm and Stefan Nyman, goalkeeper coach William Rahm has signed a new contract with the club.

Sports head Johan Hult has also extended his contract with HV71 for three years.
