On Monday, a patient who was cared for in the intensive care unit at Sundsvall Hospital died. Relatives are informed, the region Västernorrland writes in a press release.
- We know the relatives. It is for our elderly and for people in risk groups that the new corona virus can have the most serious consequences. That we, too, in Västernorrland would have deaths is very regrettable, but unfortunately also expected, says Hans Boman, infectious disease physician Region Västernorrland.
Currently there are 46 confirmed cases of covid-19 in Västernorrland. 10 people are cared for in hospitals, of which one patient in the intensive care unit.
