March 31, 2020 In these days, the Inland Revenue has received several reports relating to new phishing emails that notify recipients of non-existent tax refunds with the aim of collecting confidential information. The Revenue Agency has communicated this. The emails in question have the wording "Notification for the 2019 tax refund" and come from email addresses not attributable to the Revenue Agency.

The Agency has reported the communication to the Postal Police and recommends taxpayers not to open the email and to delete it immediately, also to avoid damage to their PCs, tablets and smartphones. Furthermore, remember that email communications relating to tax refunds are never sent and that on the website www.agenziaentrate.gov.it it is possible to consult the section "How refunds are paid" to find out the correct ways in which they are paid.
