(Fighting New Coronary Pneumonia) Taiwan adds 16 new confirmed cases of new pneumonia

China News Service, Taipei, March 31. Taiwan's "Outbreak Epidemic Command Center" announced on the 31st that Taiwan has added 16 new confirmed cases of new pneumonia, including 14 imported cases and 2 local cases. A total of 322 people have been diagnosed, and 5 have died.

According to Taiwan media reports such as the Central News Agency and Lianhe Daily, the two new local cases on the day had no recent travel history. One of them had a meal with a confirmed patient with the number 122; 14 overseas imported cases were 7 men and 7 women. The age range was in the 20s to 60s, and the pre-onset activities were in the United States, Britain, Iceland, France, Switzerland, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Regarding the social distance for epidemic prevention, Chen Shizhong, the commander of the Epidemic Epidemic Command Center, introduced in the same day that in non-specific places, the initial planned outdoor social distance is at least 1 meter and indoors at least 1.5 meters; if it is not possible due to special conditions, wear a mask or use Clapboard. Earlier, Taiwan requested Taiwan compatriots stranded in Hubei to return to Taiwan on two designated flights from Shanghai. According to the Epidemic Epidemic Command Center, on the first flight that arrived in Taiwan on the 29th, 153 Taiwan compatriots were all negative, and the quarantine station will continue to closely track their health status. The second flight back to Taiwan arrived in the evening of the 30th. All 214 returnees have been sent to the quarantine station for 14 days of centralized quarantine.
