Yesterday, the Swedish Parasport Gala 2020 was held on Monday - which this year could be a digital event due to the corona virus. The gala was broadcast as web TV, and both prize winners and audiences were allowed to follow online instead of on site.

At the gala, active para athletes and leaders are honored for achievements from the past year, and Zebastian Modin was named Male Athlete of the Year. He was born and raised on Frösön, and competes for Östersunds SK in cross-country skiing and biathlon for the visually impaired.

“Zebastian Modin is not only Sweden's but also one of the world's largest international stars. For the third year in a row, he defended the overall World Cup and then crowned the season with a gold and a silver at the World Cup in Canada, ”writes the Parasport Association in its press release.
