British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has released a new video clip of his quarantine stay after being infected with the "emerging corona" virus.

Johnson posted a video in a tweet on his Twitter account, in which he thanked all those who followed the instructions to abide by the houses and not leave them.

“Thanks to everyone who lives at home,” he said.

"By delaying the spread of the disease, we can reduce the stress of the British Health Service, and this is how we hope to save thousands of lives."

Johnson's tweet came after the British warned that the spread of the virus would get worse before it got better.

Thanks to everyone who has been staying at home.

By delaying the spread of the disease we can reduce the pressure on our NHS, and that's how we hope to save many thousands of lives. # StayHomeSaveLives pic.twitter.com/kxdqItMYSE
