The Democratic Tsunami does not exist. There is no one behind this platform that has summoned hundreds of thousands of pro-independence activists to occupy Barcelona airport, to block the border with France or, even, to jeopardize the celebration of a Barça-Madrid at the Camp Nou for which security inside and outside the stadium had to be reinforced.

This is the opinion of the Generalitat, since in a parliamentary response, the General Directorate of Security Administration of the Department of the Interior assured that it would not initiate "any case against the so-called Democratic Tsunami as there is no identity data of a natural or legal person that responds to the aforementioned collective". For the same reason, Interior "has not filed any complaint" against the platform, since the investigation was not started either.

To questions from the Citizens in Parliament group, Interior explains that, since no one was identified behind the platform, an administrative file was not initiated for violating the regulations on the occupation of public spaces without communicating. However, there is an open investigation by the National Court to try to locate the promoters of the Tsunami and even the Interior Minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, assured that he would find the "intellectual authors" who coordinate this platform and encouraged the occupation of public spaces after learning of the Supreme Court ruling that sentenced sovereign leaders to prison for sedition.

"Tsunami calls acts with total impunity to the lemon with the parties that make up the Govern, some municipalities and separatist entities," Cs Matías Alonso deputy told this newspaper, as even many leaders of the Generalitat supported by social networks the protests.

The Govern says that the protests have already been investigated

In addition, he added that in these concentrations there is "a serious alteration of fundamental rights such as mobility and public order, since vandalism occurs as we saw during the protests after the sentence."

Precisely, in another parliamentary question from Ciudadanos, the Department of the Interior explained that due to protests throughout Catalonia after the Supreme Court ruling, 1,850 identifications were made, 659 criminal procedures were instructed and 828 sanctioning procedures were opened for violation of the security law.

These actions were carried out because the agents managed to identify people who allegedly committed a crime or a violation of the regulations. In this sense, there are numerous legal proceedings opened against people who cut roads, confronted the police or caused destruction of public furniture.

Tsunami's own social networks urge support for these defendants by insisting that they offer them "financial or technical" help. Between September and December of last year, 892 unreported demonstrations or concentrations were called in Catalonia, according to Interior.

Alonso regretted the "impunity" of action, as it is shown that the Generalitat did not do the "investigative work" to identify the organizers of these protests or that for months it was allowed to cut Meridiana Avenue in Barcelona for independence groups, despite complaints from neighbors and merchants in the area.
