The houses are ecolabelled according to the Nordic Ecolabel and receive low energy consumption, which contributes to low operating and maintenance costs. In addition to the rental housing, additional buildings are built for environmental and bicycle rooms as well as a car park with about 40 seats, Mimer writes in a press release.

- Västerås has a great demand for apartments and the Älgen neighborhood provides a good addition in the municipality with more good housing. We have previously had older apartment buildings on Skallberget and that we are now building new modern and attractive apartments is good for the development of the district, says Mikael Källqvist, CEO, Mimer.

The planning has already begun and construction of the houses is planned to start in the spring of 2020. Preliminary housing is expected to be ready by the end of 2021.
