Anti-epidemic records of representative members

"Scientific data is the basis for our continuous optimization of treatment plans and the basis for clarifying clinical efficacy. It is also a source of our confidence in Chinese medicine. It is also an answer sheet that we handed over to people across the country." On March 30th, the phone Huang Luqi, the leader of the medical treatment expert group of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the dean of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, had a slightly hoarse voice.

Since January 25, he led the first national medical team of Chinese medicine to Wuhan and took over a critically ill at Jinyintan Hospital. He has been standing by the front line of anti-epidemic in Wuhan.

Despite the obvious curative effect of Chinese medicine, there have been doubts. Huang Luqi knows the importance of scientific data to reflect the efficacy of Chinese medicine and gain recognition from the medical community. To this end, he and the team have been paying special attention to the data, trying to find the advantages of the efficacy of Chinese medicine. "Facts have proved that scientific data has effectively guided accurate clinical treatment, and science and technology have become a powerful weapon for the prevention and treatment of new crown pneumonia in Chinese medicine." Huang Luqi said.

Take the initiative to retrograde Wuhan at the beginning of the epidemic

On the first day of the new year, Huang Luqi gave up reuniting with his family and led the National TCM Medical Team to ride on the high-speed rail to aid Wuhan.

Facing the worry of the 84-year-old mother at home, Huang Luqi bluntly said, without thinking too much, that this was the responsibility and mission of a party member and a medical worker. "Only by going to the front line, personally understanding the conditions and problems encountered in the treatment process, and communicating with the front-line medical staff face-to-face, can TCM play the best role in treatment." Huang Luqi said.

When I arrived in Wuhan, I saw the empty streets. There were rushing ambulances, a sense of urgency and responsibility, and Huang Luqi was spinning for many days-

On the night of January 25, I rushed to Jinyintan Hospital to learn about the treatment of patients in the hospital, and discussed the takeover of the ward.

On the 26th, people were arranged to enter the ward area of Jinyintan Hospital in the morning to familiarize with and formulate a comprehensive ward takeover work plan; an expert group discussion meeting was held in the afternoon to implement the general and critical TCM diagnosis and treatment plan.

On the 27th, in view of the shortage of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces and granules proposed by Jinyintan Hospital, a Chinese medicine supply guarantee platform was established to coordinate the relevant Chinese medicine companies to donate Chinese medicine drugs and materials.

On the 28th, inspections of the first ward in the south of Jinyintan Hospital were started to improve the ward management process.

On the 29th, the Southern District of Jinyintan Hospital was formally taken over.

...

Huang Luqi said frankly: "Life is completely irregular, sometimes busy until two or three in the evening, sometimes only two or three hours of sleep a day."

Data supports clinical protocol optimization

Before going to Wuhan, a patient with neonatal pneumonia treated with traditional Chinese medicine in Beijing was cured and discharged, which made Huang Luqi confident about the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in shortening the disease course and reducing complications.

"Scientific analysis, accurate treatment." This is what Huang Luqi and his team have always upheld. When the medical team entered the ward of Jinyintan Hospital, the scientific research group of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences was also established simultaneously. In order to better obtain first-hand case-related information, the scientific research group urgently designed and developed a tongue diagnosis image acquisition APP and an inquiry system based on the law enforcement instrument system to provide technical support for comprehensive clinical research; meanwhile, a community information collection system was urgently developed. To obtain the information of TCM diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner during the medical observation period.

After the medical staff took over the ward, at 16:00 every day, the medical staff and the data analysts at the back held a working meeting remotely to analyze the patient's condition based on the patient data and optimize the treatment plan to ensure the clinical efficacy. As of March 30, a total of 158 severe and critically ill patients have been treated, and 140 have been discharged. At the same time, they also instructed the Fangcang Hospital and the Jiangjunjie Community to integrate more than 800 cases of mild patients with satisfactory results.

"Looking for high-level evidence-based evidence of the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine is conducive to optimizing clinical programs and improving the efficiency of clinical treatment of traditional Chinese medicine." Huang Luqi firmly believed.

In the early stage of clinical treatment, he instructed the rear to make preparations for the development of new drugs, and once the effective prescription was determined, the development was started. With the gradual deepening of understanding of new coronary pneumonia, the medical team continued to optimize the treatment plan according to the clinical characteristics of the disease, and finally obtained a new prescription-Huashi Baidu Fang. After the prescription was determined, the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences initiated the emergency task of the Chinese medicine technology system for the prevention and control of influenza, relied on Xiyuan Hospital to complete the hospital preparation, and filed it with the Beijing Drug Administration. On March 18, Huashi Baidu Granule was approved for the first clinical trial of traditional Chinese medicine for new coronary pneumonia.

"This proves once again that Chinese medicine is a treasure of the Chinese nation, and the integration of Chinese and western medicine is our 'Chinese way' to protect people's lives and health." Speaking of which, Huang Luqi couldn't hide his excitement.

Promote Chinese medicine to the world

I have to say that in this epidemic, traditional Chinese medicine fought side by side with western medicine and fought a beautiful battle "epidemic".

However, in the specific participation, Huang Luqi knew that there was still a lot of obstacles for TCM to play a greater role. For example, the in-depth participation of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases requires not only the strong support of national policies, but also the platform for integrated clinical research as a support. Therefore, he called for strengthening the establishment of a platform for the integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the prevention and control of infectious diseases, the establishment of a major infectious disease prevention mechanism for collaboration between Chinese and western medicine, and the involvement of experts in traditional Chinese medicine in the decision-making and program development of disease prevention and control at all levels of the country.

Especially now, the epidemic is spreading globally. "Traditional Chinese medicine originated and developed in China, and it can promote the well-being of all human health." Huang Luqi said that he hopes to deepen the international cooperation of Chinese medicine in epidemic prevention and control and provide Chinese medicine assistance to relevant countries. This is the inevitable necessity of building a community with a shared future for man Demand is also the responsibility of a responsible big country.

"To accelerate the capacity-building of evidence-based medicine in TCM, only high-level evidence-based evidence can be determined based on scientific data, and the safety and effectiveness of TCM in preventing and controlling major infectious diseases can be evaluated, and the recognition of TCM on a global scale can be promoted." Huang Luqi Emphasize. (Science and Technology Daily, Beijing, March 30th)
