On March 28 local time, German Finance Minister Schaefer, Hesse, was found dead beside the railroad tracks. Police investigations determined that this was a suicide. Hessen Gov. Buffier said on the 29th that Schaefer's death was related to the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Buffier said Schafer was concerned that he could not meet the huge expectations of the local population, especially financially. According to Buffier, Schaefer was overwhelmed by tremendous mental stress.
As of 00:00 on March 29th local time, 52,547 confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia in Germany. The German government has recently launched a huge economic assistance plan to help enterprises and self-employed people.
