His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, issued Executive Council Resolution No. (18) for the year 2020 to establish a specialized center for diseases and epidemics under the name of “Control and Control Center for Corona Virus Control” headed by Dr. Amer Ahmed Al Sharif and membership of the Executive Directors of each From Dubai Health Care Corporation, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Data Corporation, Health Regulatory Sector, Dubai Health Authority, Health Regulatory Sector, Authority of Dubai Healthcare City and one representative from each of the following entities: Ministry of Health, Community Protection and Health Services in Dubai Police, and State Security Agency Dubai, and Mohammed bin University Rashid Medical and Health Sciences, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, representatives of companies supplying medical devices and equipment, hospitals and medical centers in the private sector, medical laboratories, pharmacy companies and drug manufacturers.
The decision set the tasks of the center, foremost of which is preparing strategic plans and general frameworks for combating epidemics and submitting the necessary recommendations thereon, unifying the decision-making mechanism in health affairs related to epidemics, including the Corona virus, and setting up a rapid intervention plan to raise the health sector’s capabilities in dealing with cases affected by these epidemics, And coordination with the various concerned authorities from the governmental and private sectors to ensure the provision of appropriate work mechanisms, human resources, medical equipment and supplies, and others.
