On the 30th, Wang Chongjun, the person in charge of the project ’s contractor, introduced, “As of 12:00 local time on March 30, Zambia had a total of 29 cases of new coronary pneumonia diagnosed, of which 20 cases were admitted to Levi Mwanawasa Hospital.”
Zambia is located inland in central and southern Africa, and is adjacent to Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and other countries. Levi Mwanawasa Hospital is located in the Jenama area of Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. It is one of the projects supported by China. It is owned by Shanxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanxi" Construction Investment Guohe Company ").
On March 18 local time, Zambia officially announced the diagnosis of two new cases of new pneumonia, and the local government requested that the Levi Mwanawasa Hospital be opened in advance; on March 19, the Levi Mwanawasa Hospital was identified as Lu New Crown Pneumonia Hospital in Saka City.
"Suddenly, the local medical staff did not fully grasp the use of medical equipment." Wang Chongjun said that after receiving the notification, the local medical staff were urgently trained to demonstrate and operate various medical equipment and handed over to some wards. On March 20, two patients with new coronary pneumonia diagnosed in Zambia were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
On March 24, Shanxi Jiantou Guohe Co., Ltd.'s project office in Zambia received a notice from the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese Embassy in Zambia, requesting immediate preparations for the transfer of all new hospitals. On March 25, both parties signed the transfer documents.
"This project is one of the many foreign aid projects currently undertaken by the company, which has the shortest transfer and put into use period." Xu Weiliang, deputy general manager of Shanxi Construction Investment Guohe Company's Zambia Project Department, introduced that the hospital has 826 beds, of which infection The department negative pressure ward has 20 beds and the ICU has 12 beds.
"Because the local hospital just received the project, the project department received a request from the other party for help every day." Wang Bin, the project's medical engineering director, said that it must be handled at any time to ensure the normal operation of the hospital.
