The Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) has issued a preventive guide to security guards in the Emirate of Dubai with the aim of protecting them from infection with Corona Virus - Covid 19 as part of a number of precautionary measures it is taking in line with the state's efforts to limit the spread of the Corona virus.

The director of the Corporate Communications Department at the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, Eng. Ahmed Saeed Al-Zoud, told Emirates Today that the guide clearly defines the procedures that guards must adhere to during the performance of their duties in securing the facilities assigned to them, and also deals with the obligations of security companies against their members inside the homes designated for them To ensure maximum protection for them, as they are vital groups in society, pointing out that there are more than 50 thousand guards registered with the institution in the emirate.

In detail, Al-Zoud reported that the evidence initially clarifies the main symptoms of the Corona virus, the most important of which are fever, difficulty breathing, coughing, headache and pain in the throat, until the guards and companies notice them, indicating that he outlined four measures to deal with anyone suspected of security guard infection with the virus, the first of which is to keep A distance of one and a half meters between them, and an attempt to isolate that person from the rest of the individuals present, inform the administration concerned immediately, and sterilize the area surrounding the suspect.

He added that the guide specifies six basic obligations that the security guard must maintain in his workplace, the first of which is to maintain a sufficient distance of not less than one meter from the community members, and to sterilize hands with an alcoholic antiseptic continuously, and not to touch the nose, mouth, and eye, and in the case of sneezing or coughing, using the means The required preventive is to cover the nose, wash hands continuously with soap and water for a period of at least 20 seconds, and avoid direct contact with anyone who shows signs of competitive disease.

He pointed out that the guide also addresses the obligations of internal security companies at the residence of the guards 'residence, the first of which is to measure the temperatures of all the guards' residence periodically, distribute disinfectants in each ward and make them aware of their use, and obligate the non-working security guards to be inside the residence and not leave it, and to prevent unauthorized entry To them, to stop all recreational and sporting activities, to sterilize the wards, cars and equipment, and to take trips inside the residence rooms to check the condition of the guards, and to isolate every guard who dealt with a patient with corona and stop him from work for 14 days.
