China Overseas.net, March 30th. According to the official WeChat official account of the Wenzhou Municipal Party Committee ’s WeChat public account "World Wenzhou Homeland", the epidemic of new crown pneumonia has spread throughout the world. The protagonist of today ’s overseas epidemic prevention story is named Ye Hanquan, and the Spanish name is Beatrice Ye Zhu, 1996 Born in 1960, his ancestral home is Wencheng.

She is still studying for a master's degree in medicine, but resolutely joined the epidemic prevention and became a nurse in the New Coronary Pneumonia Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Spanish hospital.

"After finishing the shift, it's dawn after coming home. I'm so tired that I don't want to wash and sleep when I want to stick to the bed."

Because I'm a nurse, I want to join the epidemic prevention team

My father was an earlier generation of immigrants and my hometown was Wencheng, Wenzhou. In 1996, I was born in Spain. I had a dream of being a medical staff when I was young. Later when I was studying, I studied nursing. I also participated in international exchanges and was studying at Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

During the university's winter vacation, I returned to Spain. Recently, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has spread throughout Spain. I live in the capital, Madrid, which is the place with the most confirmed cases in Spain.

The Spanish health system is saturated. A four-star hotel in Madrid has also been transformed into a medical centre for patients with new crown pneumonia.

I am a nurse and I have experience internship in nursing in ICU ward of a large hospital. I know what I have to do.

After consulting with their parents, they were very distressed. I can appreciate their concerns very much, but I also patiently told them that I am a nurse and this is my duty. I have learned medical professional knowledge for so many years and can protect myself.

On March 11, the Carlos III Hospital in Madrid contacted me and provided me with a temporary employment contract. They wanted to hire me for reinforcements, but they did not provide me with more specific details about the contract and schedule. Information, no new information after two days.

As the number of patients grew exponentially, I decided to temporarily contact the hospital I worked for last summer: Severo Ochoa Hospital. This hospital is currently the third-largest hospital in the region for new crown pneumonia. Due to the high shortage of medical and health personnel, they immediately accepted my application and thanked me very much.

They placed me in the ICU ward, and I accepted it because I had worked in this department and thought that I was familiar with the various equipment and work processes here. On the evening of March 14, they provided me with a work schedule and I officially joined them.

In order to protect myself, I stayed with my family and found the room by myself.

Entering the ICU ward as nurses, they all have hope in their eyes

I have three shifts a week: from 8 am to 3 pm, from 3 pm to 10 pm, and from 10 pm to 8 am the next day. The working time is basically the same as the previous working time in the ICU, but the work intensity is much greater.

When I entered the intensive care unit, I found that all the patients there were patients with new coronary pneumonia. In fact, I later learned that the beds at Severo Ochoa Hospital were almost full.

There are two large rooms in the intensive care unit, with a total of 12 beds. Each of the six beds currently supports 3 icu nurses, 2 doctors, and 2 nursing care. Several of our medical staff partnered with each other, and each group of two supervised each other in the process of wearing protective clothing. Without getting a partner OK gesture, we will never enter the ward.

"You're great, come on!" The team and I cheer each other up every day, before entering the ward, during work. Because it really takes a lot of courage here.

"Ye, patients in 3 beds need help!" "Ye, patients in 6 beds need root canals!" Even though I know that ICUs are all critically ill patients, they are far from expecting it.

Most patients with new coronary pneumonia have difficulty breathing and need intubation. Most patients are injected with analgesics and vascular drugs to maintain normal blood pressure. In addition, we found that prone can significantly improve breathing patterns. In other words, changes in posture require the cooperation of two nurses, two caregivers, and a doctor, so the workload is very heavy.

In the ward, some patients were unconscious because of prolonged intubation and medication. But I can still feel the desire to survive in the eyes of patients. Here, we have witnessed more separation between life and death, but also because of the hope in their eyes, let each other continue to build confidence and strive to persist.

Many little friends encouraged me. Some people put food at the window.

Chinese communities across Spain have donated many masks, protective clothing, gloves, disinfectant alcohol and goggles to various committees, national police stations and hospitals in Spain. Our hospital has received unified material deployment, but at present, the protective materials of our medical staff are still very scarce.

Therefore, the staff needs to wear masks throughout the shift. The staff at my hospital in the morning and afternoon shifts need to wear 7 hours, and the night shift staff need to wear 10 hours.

Usually in an intensive care unit, a nurse can take care of two patients. The nurse needs to get the patient's coefficients every hour, so she needs to enter the room to check if everything is normal. However, due to the lack of protective equipment, all nurses can only take care of all patients in the ward, that is, 3 nurses take care of 6 patients together.

I was a big eater, I love pasta and tapas. These days since work, I can't eat a bite.

"Ye, how are you today?" Whenever I get off work recently, some messages pop up on my phone. My friends, many of them sent me a letter of encouragement after they knew that I was involved in the treatment. Some little friends intentionally don't bother me when I'm at work, and wait until after work to say hello.

Some friends, knowing that I have a bad appetite, will also make some good entrances, they will do well in advance and put them downstairs, let me get them, and then wait in front of the window, after seeing me, and I am enthusiastic Bixin, I was really touched at that time.

Some partners also pushed my experience to social software and liked me. I received encouragement from friends in many countries including China. At that moment, I felt that before disaster, human beings are a community of destiny. Only by eliminating barriers can we fight the epidemic.

The local Chinese are very responsible. They choose to isolate themselves.

Finally, I want to talk about the Chinese people around me.

Before, many Spanish Chinese returned to China because of the Spring Festival. After returning to Spain, many people chose to isolate themselves for two weeks.

My parents returned to China with relatives for the Spring Festival. When they returned to Madrid, my sister and I wore masks and drove two cars to pick up at the airport. On the way home from the airport, my sister and I took the first car while my parents drove the second car. They went home for 14 days of quarantine immediately, even if they did not believe they were actually exposed to the virus.

Like my parents, there are many Chinese in Spain who, because of their responsibilities, choose to isolate themselves.

At the same time, a few weeks before Spain announced a blockade across the country to combat the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the Chinese had begun to actively close stores and wear masks.

Many Chinese stores opened the door with the words "closed until the end of March" and "notice when the store is opened". Employees in several stores that were open before the blockade also wore masks, and the entrance said "work We need to wear a mask, and we are very sorry. "

Protecting ourselves and protecting others better, the Chinese self-discipline has also won everyone's respect.
