Everywhere and at all scales, solidarity initiatives are emerging to deal with the coronavirus epidemic. In La Rochelle, the mayor reopened a campsite for the homeless and their pets, the time of confinement.

In La Rochelle, at the "municipal campsite of the Sun", fifteen tents were installed to shelter the homeless and their dogs during the confinement period. "The homeless who do not have a dog are accommodated by hotels, but we had no solution for the homeless with dogs," explains the mayor, Jean-François Fountaine, guest of Europe 1 Sunday. "They had to be housed individually so as not to risk the spread of the coronavirus. Camping was the best solution."
