The Japanese government said today (29th) that North Korea has launched what appears to be a ballistic missile.

According to reports from NHK and Kyodo News, the Japanese government announced that North Korea's repeated launch of ballistic missiles is a serious problem for the entire international community, including Japan, and continues to focus on information gathering, analysis, and surveillance.

The ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff said earlier this morning that "North Korea launched an unknown projectile into the East Sea."

North Korea's launch is only eight days after shooting the North Korean version of ATA Kims on the 21st.

The Japanese government said the North Korean projectile did not fall within Japan's exclusive economic zone.

In this regard, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has devoted all his energy to collecting and analyzing information, instructing the public to provide prompt and accurate information and to confirm the safety of aircraft and ships.

He also ordered that he be prepared for the unexpected.
