In Uzbekistan, a doctor treating the country's first coronavirus patient died of a virus-related disease, Reuters reported. A 39-year-old man had apparently been infected by his patient. He kept his infection secret from others and tried to treat the disease himself.

However, on March 26, a seriously ill man was taken to hospital. Two days later, the doctor died.

104 coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Uzbekistan. The country has a curfew in all provinces and residents are forbidden to leave home except to make the necessary purchases.

Uzbekistan reported first death from coronavirus on Thursday. Authorities said at the time that a 72-year-old woman suffering from several other illnesses had a heart attack after being infected with coronavirus.
