A "minimum continuity" of air links between Mayotte and Reunion will be put in place to supply Mayotte with sanitary and food products, as well as to allow urgent repatriations and evacuations and reinforcements of nursing staff.

The government announced on Saturday its decision to suspend all commercial flights from or to Mayotte, and to reduce the connections between Paris and Reunion to three a week, in the face of the spread of the coronavirus.

A "minimal continuity" of air links between Mayotte and Reunion will be put in place to supply Mayotte with sanitary and food products, allow repatriation and urgent evacuations and reinforcements of medical personnel, said the Secretary of State for Transport and the Minister of Overseas in a press release.
