Three people were killed, and five others, including a woman, were wounded by gunfire in the village of Awlad Chloul in the Sohag Center district, after a battle broke out between the cousins, in which they exchanged gunfire from automatic weapons in their possession, due to a dispute over a border separator in the agricultural land.

According to Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, the director of Sohag Security, Major General Hassan Mahmoud, received a notification from the Sohag police station, of a fight and gunfire in the village, and that there were dead and wounded.

The incident killed three people and wounded five others with gunshot wounds. The bodies and the injured were taken to Sohag General Hospitals, Sohag University, and Al-Hilal, and an intense security presence was imposed inside the village, to prevent renewed clashes between the two parties.

It turned out that the two sides had skirmishes and quarrels between them 15 days ago, and a security campaign was carried out against them, a number of firearms were seized in their possession, and the Public Prosecution was informed of the investigation.
