The National Commission for Outbreak Management, set up by the Iranian Ministry of Health in February, said in a statement that the "social alienation" plan mainly includes reducing contact, stopping parties and avoiding unnecessary travel. Celebrations will be banned and schools, shopping centers and swimming pools will be temporarily closed.

Every year around March 20 is Iran's most important traditional festival-Nowuz, the Iranian New Year. This year's New Year holiday runs until April 3. The statement said the plan could be extended if needed.

Iranian President Rouhani said on the same day that the national reserve is sufficient to meet people's basic needs, and at the same time it will provide financial subsidies to companies that have suffered losses due to the new crown pneumonia epidemic.

The Iranian Ministry of Health announced on the 26th that as of noon on the 26th, 2389 new cases of new coronary pneumonia were confirmed in Iran, with a total of 29406 confirmed cases, of which 2234 died and 10457 were cured.
