Infection protection doctor: "The number who need to be taken care of in hospitals has increased clearly"

A total of 42 people have been confirmed to be infected by covid-19 in Västmanland, of which 22 have been infected in Sweden.

- Traveling has basically ceased and the spread of infection is gradually increasing in the country. This means that almost all cases will be infected in Sweden from now on. It still took two weeks for it to happen, says Jan Smedjegård.

Region Västmanland only takes samples for the new corona virus on people who become ill in acute illness with fever or respiratory symptoms and are admitted to hospitals, as well as staff in the health care and elderly care.
