The former deputy and leader of the Sadrist movement in Iraq, Hakim Al-Zamili, warned of the spread of Corona virus due to the accumulation of dead bodies due to the virus inside hospitals in Baghdad and a number of provinces. Al-Zamili said in a statement that "some of the bodies were more than a week old without being buried."

The leader of the current led by Muqtada al-Sadr called on the government and the crisis cell to "establish a cemetery in a safe place and away from residential areas, worthy of burying the victims in line with Islamic teachings," warning that "leaving the bodies in the refrigerators of the dead may cause a health crisis that leads to an outbreak of the disease in Hospitals and surrounding neighborhoods. "

The director of the Karkh Health Department in the capital, Baghdad, Gasib Latif Al-Hajami, criticized the refusal of the graves to bury the dead due to the Corona virus.

He cautioned against the corrosion of corpses of corona in hospital refrigerators, noting that one of the corpses had passed for a whole week and had not been buried, which caused a health crisis and the possible spread of the disease in hospitals and neighborhoods surrounding hospitals.

For its part, the Iraqi Ministry of Health has allocated a place 30 kilometers from the residential neighborhoods to bury the dead, but the people in those neighborhoods refused to bury the bodies because they feared the virus would spread.

The number of confirmed cases of corona in Iraq increased to 346, as well as 29 deaths.
