The two elderly people who died were cared for in hospitals.
The region announces that they are now seeing a more extensive social spread in Halland.
A total of 77 people have been found infected in Halland. Eight are hospitalized, of which two are in the intensive care unit.
To avoid the spread of infection, it is crucial that Halland's residents follow the following recommendations, Region Halland announces:
-Stay at home with the slightest symptoms of illness, until you are symptom-free and two extra symptom-free days
- limit social contacts
-specially protect the elderly and other risk groups, by having contact in other ways, for example by telephone calls
- be careful about hand hygiene
Special message for the elderly:
- Stay home and limit your close contacts
- Avoid places with many people, such as buses and shops
- Be happy outdoors, take a walk, but not in groups
- Stay in touch with loved ones over the phone
- Ask for help with shopping
