The Spanish government said on Tuesday that the number of deaths from the new coronavirus increased by 655 to 4089. It is the second country after Italy with more than 4000 deaths.
The number of infected people increased by 8,578 to 56,188.
The number of dead has tripled in five days, and the number of infected people has more than doubled.
On Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Carbo was infected, and this was the third cabinet member confirmed to be infected.
