In recent weeks, several Swedes have "hoarded" or "bunkered" food, dry goods, hygiene articles or other goods in concern over the spread of covid-19 in Sweden and the consequences it may have.

However, Axfood (which operates among others Willys, Tempo and Hemköp), ICA and Coop can all provide reassuring information to customers. There is no shortage of toilet paper, dry goods or other goods in Örebro county or in the rest of Sweden.

"We do not see a product category that is currently critical to the end," writes ICA's press release in a message to SVT Nyheter Örebro.

Do not always have time to get goods on the shelves

The empty shelves in the stores are, in most cases, about the fact that deliveries and the pick-up in the shop do not come with the demand and the buyer among the customers.

“In normal cases, we have a large and even flow of goods into stores, but the changing buying behavior in recent weeks has meant that we and all other chains have had challenges in getting goods up and down the shelves as you shop. . ”, Writes Magnus Törnblom, Press Manager at Axfood, in an email to SVT News Örebro.

Do you have any concerns that any product category will end?

“We also have no indications that this will change. Our suppliers continue to do their utmost to continue to deliver goods, and at the political level they emphasize the importance of facilitating goods deliveries. ”, Magnus Törnblom concludes.

The handshake was over

Both Coop and Axfood state that the item that has been out of stock lately was the handshake, but at least the first-mentioned retail chain has got more.

"The only thing was handwriting that ended a week ago, but we got there again this week so we solved it," writes press secretary Tarik Belqaid in an e-mail to SVT News Örebro, while adding that Coop did not either has no defect in any product category.
