The decision was made to avoid risks to the health of Russians in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection.

“To establish that the date of the all-Russian vote on the approval of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation ... is determined by a separate decree of the president of the Russian Federation,” the Kremlin press service quotes the text of the decree.

Previously, Putin announced the need to postpone the vote on constitutional amendments.

On March 17, the head of state signed a decree calling for a vote on April 22.
