March 25, 2020 All the measures implemented by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to face the health emergency from Covid19 and to counter the spread of the disease are extended until April 3. Minister Paola De Micheli signed a decree that prolongs the effectiveness of eight interministerial decrees, signed with the Ministry of Health, containing various measures aimed at severely limiting the mobility of people on the Italian territory and the transport of passengers through the various carriers. Furthermore, the introduction of a further reduction of long-distance rail services (Intercity and Frecce) is also expected until April 3.

The measures that are extended in detail concern: the rationalization of air transport and airport operations (Decree No. 112). The reprogramming of long-distance trains and rail passenger transport (Decree No. 113). The reduction of non-scheduled and interregional car services (Decreton.114). The reduction of Intercity railway services (Decree n.116) with a new downsizing of trains. The suspension of passenger transport with Sardinia (Decree No. 117). The severe limitation of passenger transport with Sicily (Decree No. 118).

The introduction of the 15-day fiduciary isolation period obligation for those returning from abroad (Decree No. 120). In this case, a new modification is made to the provision: the exemption from the obligation of fiduciary isolation extends to the crew of the means of transport and to the traveling staff belonging to companies with registered office in Italy. The 14-day obligation of fiduciary isolation provided for those who enter Italy does not apply to health workers, to cross-border workers for proven work reasons and for the consequent return to their residence or home; further restrictions on passenger transport with Sicily and Sardinia (Decree No. 122).
