"The restaurant shutdown has begun" says the internal e-mails sent to employees of the Aveny family on Sunday.

The restaurant and restaurant industry is described as particularly employed by the current corona crisis - something that caused the tavern group to terminate its entire staff force of just under 170 people, plus extra staff, last week. However, the Aveny family announced that it hopes to re-employ its staff in the future.

“We have received questions about the CEO and others in the management being dismissed. That is true, but everyone has a 6-month notice period, which ensures continued administration during the shutdown and start-up ”, it says in the internal e-mail from last Sunday.

The e-mail is signed by the Group's founder Jonas Järvmarker, and he also announces that more closures are to be expected during the week.

“We have secured liquidity for 6 months of full-scale downtime, which is the worst scenario we are working on. Plan for the worst, hope for the best! ”
