During an unusually candid interview, Dr. Anthony Fushi, the chief infectious disease expert in the United States, described the difficult circumstances of dealing with President Donald Trump regarding the emerging coronavirus pandemic "Covid-19".

"I cannot jump in front of the microphone and throw it to the ground," Fushi said, when asked about why Trump released incorrect information during press conferences.

Fushi's comments came during an interview with the American science journal, Science.

Fushi, who heads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has become the de facto face of dealing with the emerging Corona virus in the United States, where many considered it an important judgment of the truth during an outbreak.

"Well, he said that, let's try to fix it for the next time," Fushi said that he is talking to Trump after trying to correct him.

Fushi added that Trump has his "own style" but he listens to him "on the core issues."
