Last week, the Swedish Chemicals Agency issued a dispensation to facilitate the manufacture of hand spirit and disinfectants. This is because demand is so great in, among other things, healthcare. This led, among other things, to the chemists at Umeå University starting to produce hand spirit at Norrland University Hospital, something that VK was the first to tell.
- After all, it has become quite clear that there is a need in healthcare. And if you are a chemist, you can actually mix up a lab liquor and a hand liquor, says Fredrik Almqvist, professor at the Department of Chemistry at Umeå University.
There were a total of 105 liters of hand spirit that Umeå University does not charge for and the first cans were delivered on Monday.
