The Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, said that his country faces the new epidemic of Corona with force, determination and mobilization of everyone's efforts to protect society.

In a tweet on his account on Twitter, the Qatari Prime Minister stressed the need for unnecessary homes, adherence to preventive guidelines to assign the health system and medical personnel to its mission, and achieve full success.

He added, "Our health system stands at the front line of this confrontation, and our medical cadres perform their noble mission with courage and achieve success that is only complete with you."

Earlier Monday, the Qatari Ministry of Health announced that it had registered seven new cases of corona, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 501.

The ministry said that the new cases of infection are related to travelers who have recently arrived in Qatar and to expatriate workers, including two cases for citizens.

The ministry indicated - in a statement - the registration of four similar cases of recovery from residents and expats, bringing the total cases of recovery to 37 cases.

And Saturday, the Qatari authorities announced the imposition of additional precautions to prevent all forms of gathering in public facilities, in continuation of the efforts made by Doha to address Corona and limit its spread.

The Qatar Charity Association launched an initiative called "Volunteer for Qatar", on Sunday, to contribute to the efforts made by the state to limit the spread of the new Corona virus (COFED-19), according to the standards of the Ministry of Public Health and relevant authorities in Qatar.

As of Monday evening, the virus infected more than 362,000 people in the world, more than 15,000 of whom died, mostly in Italy, China, Spain, Iran, France and the United States, while more than 100,000 had recovered.

With the spread of the virus worldwide, many countries were forced to close their borders, suspend flights, impose curfews, disrupt the study, and prevent public gatherings, including group prayers.
