Palestinian prisoners are demanding to protect them from Corona .. No new injuries to Wuhan and about a billion "trapped" in their homes and the number of wounded is on the rise

Palestinian prisoners in the occupation prisons intend to take protest steps to demand health measures to protect them from the new Corona virus (Covid-19), while Turkey announced a series of decisions to protect its prisoners from the virus, amid a noticeable decline in infections in China, while more than a billion people are under "house arrest" at their homes To reduce the spread of the virus.

The Prisoners and Editors Affairs Authority of the Palestine Liberation Organization confirmed, Monday, that Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons will start Tuesday, with protest steps against the prison administration, for not taking health measures to confront the virus.

The steps are, according to the authority’s statement, to close the departments and return meals in the various camps.

The statement pointed out that these steps come in response to the decision of the Prison Authority to withdraw 140 items from the prisoners' shop (the cantons), including sterilization materials for confronting the virus.

In its prisons, Israel holds thousands of Palestinian prisoners, including 43 women, 180 children and 700 patients.

In Turkey, the Minister of Justice, Abdul Hamid Gul, announced a series of measures in the country's prisons and courts, to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus.

In a press statement he made after a coordination meeting on Corona's developments, the Turkish minister affirmed that no infection with the aforementioned virus was recorded among prison inmates throughout the country.

In another context, the Turkish official pointed to reducing the numbers of judges and public prosecutors in the courts, enough to continue the routine procedures, and postpone the non-urgent trials, while ensuring that the parties to the judicial cases are not harmed.

He also stressed that quarantine for those who exhibit symptoms of coronary infection is mandatory, and that breaching it is a crime punishable by law.

China
On Monday, the Chinese mainland recorded a decline in the daily toll of new cases of coronavirus, as the capital Beijing stepped up measures to contain infections from abroad.

The National Health Committee stated that the number of confirmed cases yesterday was 39, compared to 46 the day before. She said that all the new cases are for people coming from abroad, many of whom are Chinese students returning to their country.

Beijing has stepped up measures to contain cases from abroad and has diverted all incoming international flights to the capital to other cities from Monday, including Shanghai and Xi'an, where travelers will be examined.

In Wuhan, where the disease initially appeared and spread, the authorities eased strict closures with no new cases reported for the fifth consecutive day.

He added that Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, South Africa, Senegal and Burkina Faso are at the forefront of the continent's countries in terms of the spread of the virus. The center pointed out that 124 of the infected people across the continent recovered from the injury.

The strict measures taken by the African countries, against the outbreak of the new Corona virus, including canceling flights and closing land borders, have trapped about 50 thousand French citizens in Africa.

In the same context, the famous Chinese businessman "Jack Ma" sent medical supplies to African countries to combat the emerging corona virus, which included millions of diagnostic equipment and medical muzzles.

It will be distributed to 54 African countries, provided that each country allocates 20,000 diagnostic equipment, 100,000 medical masks and 1,000 medical clothing.
