During Sunday, the Rescue Service received six alarms about grass fires in Halland, including at Vallås in Halmstad, in Unnaryd in Hylte municipality and near Sannarpsskolan in Halmstad. Also on Saturday came an alarm about grass fire. All fires are extinguished or under control, according to the Halmstad Rescue Service.

"We do not see any major spread risk to buildings or other things, but it is the grass that is burning," says Peter Stened, internal commander, Rescue Service Halmstad.

400-500 square feet

The largest fire was in Harplinge, where 400-500 square meters of grass was burned. Just before 2 pm, about 300 square meters of fire was burning at Vallås.

According to the Rescue Service, the sunny weather increases the risk of grass fires.
