Today, WHO's Executive Director of the Emergency Program, Michael Ryan, warned that imposing sanitary isolation is not enough to defeat the Corona virus, adding that there is a need for public health measures to prevent the re-emergence of the virus later.

He stressed that the young age group is not immune to the disease, according to health data collected by the organization from the countries most affected by the new epidemic.

"What we really need is to find patients and those who carry the virus, isolate them, and find those who mix and isolate them," Ryan said in an interview with Andrew Marsh Show on BBC television.

"If there are no strong public health measures now, then the risk is that the disease will return again when these restrictions on movement and closure decisions are lifted," he added.

Many countries and regions in Europe and the United States followed the example of China and other Asian countries, imposing strict restrictions to curb the spread of the emerging virus, as most people start working from their homes and schools, bars and restaurants are closed.

Ryan said that China, Singapore and South Korea, which, along with the restrictions, had taken strict measures to screen every suspected patient, were examples of Europe that the organization said had replaced Asia and became the epidemic.

"Once we get past the infection, we have to go after the virus. We have to transfer the battle to the virus," he added.

Ryan noted that a number of vaccines are under development, but trials in the United States have only begun with one vaccine. Asked how long would it take to provide this vaccine in Britain, he said
People should be realistic.

"We have to make sure it is completely safe ... we are talking about at least a year," he said, adding, "Vaccines will be available, but now we have to do what we have to do."

Most hit segment
The World Health Organization has said that data in many countries indicate that those under the age of 50 constitute the largest segment of people infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), and need hospital treatment, according to a statement issued by the Director-General of the organization, Tedros Adhanum Gebriusus.

The Director-General called on people that the Corona virus be a reason to show their best of the highest values, and in solidarity and work together, praising the role of young people, many of whom work to spread awareness rather than spread the virus.

"Today I have a message for young people that you are not immune," Coruna virus may put you in hospital beds for weeks and may kill you, even if you do not get sick. The choices you make regarding the places you go to may be the difference between life and death for other people.
