Usually, criminals attack ATMs with explosives. They were just armed ... with masses. During the night of Thursday to Friday, these three men first tried to open a ATM of Société Générale in Lamorlaye, in the Oise department. But failing to do so, they got back into their car. Direction: Cires-lès-Mello, about twenty kilometers. Armed with mass, they tried to disembowel a Crédit Agricole device. They are then spotted by a witness who immediately alerts the gendarmerie.

The soldiers went on the scene a few minutes later, froze the scene and launched a search device. Their vehicle was spotted and intercepted by the gendarmes of the Psig (Gendarmerie surveillance and intervention platoon) in Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt, in the Val-d'Oise. Two individuals were arrested and a third managed to escape on foot. The investigation was entrusted to the Chantilly research brigade.
