The Department of Senior Citizens in the Ministry of Community Development directed five advice to families, to optimize dealing with the elderly, as part of the precautionary measures to be taken to avoid infection with the Corona virus, and tips include avoiding gathering in the room of the grandfather or grandmother, and urging the elderly to drink water and warm drinks and avoid drinks Cold, and to constantly wash hands with organic soap for sensitive skin in order to avoid dry hands, in addition to encouraging them to exercise, and ensuring the diversification of foods provided that they contain fiber, vegetables and fruits, while being careful to stay away from sugars and foods rich in Processed fats and meats.

The ministry told «Emirates Today» that “the elderly category is one of the groups that has received the most attention in the preventive measures to combat the spread of the virus taken worldwide, after reports showed that they are most affected by the symptoms and dangerous consequences of infection with the virus.”

The Ministry of Community Development proposed to encourage the elderly to implement a series of daily activities that help them maintain their immune system,
