One of the businesses that feels people's unwillingness to eat out is Teleborg Castle in Växjö, which offers both restaurant visits and conference rooms. The restaurant visits have become fewer and the conference bookings as well. And in the coming weeks, 90 percent of the planned visits are canceled, according to chef Rickard Streby.

- In the past, we have not seen anything similar in terms of the size of this problem, he says.

Teleborg Castle has taken several other measures to mitigate the economic damage. Among other things, like many other restaurants in Växjö, they have now started offering take away food. You also have a look at changing the restaurant's opening hours.
