The women usually come from other countries. Once in Sweden, they get a phone call about meeting an unknown man in any apartment somewhere - to have sex. This is the picture that police assistant Daniel Cervinus is part of the group of women he and the Gothenburg police wanted to help during last week's efforts.

- These are extremely vulnerable women. They have no safety net at all, says Daniel Cervinus.

Seven were arrested at one time

The effort was aimed at prostitution and human trafficking throughout Gothenburg, and aimed at both helping victims and arresting sex buyers.

- We have worked closely with the social services and have been able to offer support to several of these women.

At one point, they managed to arrest seven people - at the same address. The police have also worked to seek contact with young people who are on their way into prostitution, but are not yet there.

- Based on the purpose of the effort, I judge him as very successful, says Daniel Cervinus.

Important to go out

Daniel Cervinus does not want to go into detail about how the police have worked during the intervention week, but he still wants to emphasize that the police work actively with the subject - intervention week or not.

- It is important for us to go out with these things medially. Sex buyers should not go around and ...

... think you can buy six without penalty?

- Yes, a little bit like that.
