The facts occurred at the end of the afternoon on Monday, in Vienne (Isère), about thirty kilometers south of Lyon. It was around 6.30 p.m. when help was sought for a violent brawl in a town square, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré.
The firefighters had to take care of three young men in their twenties, all of them stabbed. The first of them suffered from a large thigh wound, the second was injured in the arm, while the third had facial and torso sores.
Crowds formed on the scene immediately after the incident, complicating the intervention of the emergency services and thus obliging the police, called in as reinforcements, to put in place an imposing security device.
The three victims were taken to the hospital in Vienna. The reasons for this brawl are unknown at this time. An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances.
