Non-emergency orthopedic surgeries are now canceled due to the staff shortage that occurred when approximately 300 employees in the region reported sick with cold symptoms.
"Most of them are certainly sniffy and once they have received a corona test they can certainly come back and work," says Anna-Lena Högström, communicator at Region Jämtland Härjedalen.
How many surgeries are involved there is no information.
- I can't answer how many it is, it can vary a bit from day to day. It can probably vary quite a lot how many it is about, says Anna-Lena Högström.
