The Russian Constitutional Court gave the green light on Monday to the constitutional reform wanted by President Vladimir Putin, which will notably allow him to carry out two additional terms.

"Popular vote" on April 22

The court has published on its website the judgment in which it considers that the reform project is in good conformity with the legislation. The Court added that it had sent this decision to the Kremlin. The text has yet to be finally approved in a "popular vote" scheduled for April 22. Despite concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic, this date is currently maintained.
