LDP Chairman Masaru Kishida “Large-scale additional economic measures are needed” March 16, 19:25

Following the spread of the new coronavirus, LDP President Kishida said in a press conference that he needed to consider large-scale additional economic measures and consider benefits and tax cuts.

Among them, Mr. Kishida said, "We formulated a large-scale economic measure at the end of last year, but now the scale is much larger than that." He acknowledged the need for additional economic measures that were much larger than the measures.

He added, "We need to support the people's lives and need measures that can be directly reached by the people. We have to think about benefits and tax measures."

On the other hand, regarding the reduction of the consumption tax rate, he pointed out that "it is not necessarily to avoid discussion, but there are challenges and difficulties."
