According to Stefan Löfven, the government has not considered closing Sweden's borders. Instead, he repeats the advice from earlier:

Stay at home if you are ill, do not visit people in health care or the elderly, maintain good hand hygiene.

- The decisive factor is that the pace of development is slowing down. The opposite, a rapid process with a large hump in the number of seriously ill people, can become overwhelming for the health care system.

According to Director General of the Public Health Authority Johan Carlson, yesterday's advice from trips abroad is not primarily about reducing the spread of infection.

- The idea is probably most to protect people who want to go out and who can end up in difficult situations.

MBS receives an extra 75 million

Löfven announced during the press conference that the government will allocate SEK 75 million for the Swedish Agency for Social Protection and Preparedness, MSB, to conduct a comprehensive information campaign on the corona virus.

MSB Director General Dan Eliasson says that in such a situation there is a risk of rumor spread and false information. He urges everyone to source critical thinking. MSB has been commissioned to go out with a "large and broad information effort", he says.

The information aims to spread the number of cases where people are infected over a longer period of time.

- Through accurate and comprehensive information, we together create resilience and preparedness to better manage this corona center, says Eliasson.
