Just before midnight on Friday, police were alerted to a motorist who was traveling towards traffic on the E4 at Jönåker. The driver, a man in his 50s, was driving in the direction of Nyköping and co-drivers stated that the car was swinging sharply.
Police went out to stop the dangerous journey and just before the exit to Bergshammar, a few kilometers west of Nyköping, the police managed to stop the man by punching him off the road.
A tow truck was called to the scene and the road had to be shut down for five minutes but was back in operation again at 00.10, police say.
